    2009 / 2010 OPEN Registration

New for the 2009-10 season will be the Hockey Canada Registration (HCR) system. This system is used by all Leagues across Canada and is governed, supported, maintained and developed by Hockey Canada. All members of the GTHL, OMHA and Alliance will be using this system for the first time this season and will represent the final component of Hockey Canada and that of minor hockey in the OHF using the HCR.

The HCR offers a very secure system which will ensure privacy of information for all members.

All registrations will take place on line. If you do not have access to the Internet you can contact the registrar directly or visit the MHL office to become a member and register players. In addition, please ensure that you enter your e-mail address correctly as the e-mail address provided on the registration form will be used for the majority of communication from the Associations and the League.

All player registrations will require you to:
    • Be a resident of Mississauga
    • Have a birth certificate number, passport or citizenship number
    • Agree to the City of Mississauga & MHL Fair Play Code of Conduct

Please be reminded to have your player’s birth certificate, passport or citizenship number available. Registration requires these valid numbers and will not be processed or approved without them..

Players signed to 2009-10 “A” or Gold teams do not need to register as they will have been registered prior, at try-outs.

Use of the HCR registration link requires Internet Explorer 7 or higher. You can upgrade your system quickly by using the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx

Please go to the Registration section by clicking here

    Children's Fitness Tax Receipts
    January 17, 2007

In 2007, the Government of Canada allowed a non-refundable tax credit of up to $500, to be paid to parents for registering a child in an eligible program of physical activity. Registration in the MHL qualifies within the parameters set out in this program again for the 2008-09 season. Tax credits will be provided for registrations of the 2008-09 season.

Members simply need to print their receipts through the MSM Registration system by logging on to Member Services with their User ID and Password used during registration at their Association web-site.

Please note; this electronic download will only be available until April 30, 2009. Please make sure to download your receipt prior to that date.
The registrars will still have access to MSM until May 31st so if there are late requests for tax receipts the registrars will still have the ability to print them off until May 31st.
Please contact the Cooksville Registrar at  cooksvilleregistrar@hotmail.com if you have any questions or cannot get access to the system

As in previous years, we will be supplying Hot Dogs, pop, chips and donuts for all the players.

Presentations of the players trophies, Special Awards and ESSO Medals (by the coaches) will be done during the scheduled time period, so it's important that we get the cooperation of all players, parents and coaches to get their team together and to their tables prior to their scheduled time.

Parents, please have your son/daughter at the arena at least 15 min. prior to their designated time so that there is a timely transition from one presentation to the next.

COOKSVILLE PHANTOMS MINOR MIDGET RED SWEEP SCARBOROUGH CANADIANS SELECT TOURNAMENT IN CONVINCING FASHION!!

The Cooksville Phantoms Minor Midget Red #101 won the Scarborough Canadians Valentine Select Tournament over the February 6th weekend in dominating fashion. Friday: Cooksville 9 Cedar Hill Selects 2. Saturday: Cooksville 12 Streetsville Selects 0 and the 3rd game the boys were pumped as they versed the London Select team that knocked them out of the tourney in London and destroyed them with a 5-0 score. Sunday saw them in the finals against the same London team with the championship on the line Cooksville annihilated their opponents winning 9-1. “The boys worked extremely hard and I am very proud of them,” stated head coach, Dan Trinetti. This team always shows a lot of character and determination as already proven by their first place overall finish in the Mississauga Hockey League’s Minor Midget Red Division with 15 wins, 3 loses and 3 ties. Congratulations to the players: Frank Middleton(goalie), Alexander Selwa, Dean Trinetti, Agim Sherifi, Ralph Perez, Olivier Dagenais, Tristian Velechovsky, Matthew Gravina, Daniel Gough, Sam Sherifi, Justin Ialeggio, Michael Pellegrino, Matthew Toic, Paul Figliano, Anthony Luppino & Graham Simmons. Head coach: Dan Trinetti; assistants: Nick Toic & Steve Gough; trainer: Paul Middleton.

    Cooksville  vs.  Norway

Congratulations to the Cooksville Minor Midget Red (CO101) team that completed it's game Friday January 2nd, 2009 against the NES IK Minor Midget Select 1993 Norwegian Team. It was a great game to watch with play going back and forth in a very entertaining game. Although the game ended in a 2-2 tie, the Cooksville team outplayed their Norweigan opponents and could have had 2-3 more goals in a second period that saw Cooksville only allow a couple of shots on our goal. Certainly the contact game did not intimidate our guys, and this was a very cleanly played game that saw no penalties.

The game ended in 2-2 and since time was still available, a decision was made to have a 'shootout' with 5 players from each side participating. Unfortuantely, the Norwegian's won the shootout 2-1.

Congratulations to Dan Trinetti, his coaching staff and the players from the Minor Midget Red team that conducted themselves with a whole lot of class and played an outstanding game.

October 29, 2008 05:41 PM - Their opponents only wish that the Cooksville Phantoms would go away.

But unfortunately for their peers, the Atom A team has been quite a presence on the tournament circuit early this season.
